Tried it with long exposures and it's everything you expect an intervalometer to do. You can lock your phone and it continues doing its thing. Basically use the 'time lapse' function to setup intervalometer continuous shooting without touching the camera/phone. Also, this isnt viable at all for shots you normally take with an intervalometer you cant control shutter speed beyond 1/30sec.Īnswering OP's question, I bought the pro option in TetherMonkey and am happy to report it works flawlessly on the M50. Problem is that this will end up as a movie in 1080p or 4K (cropped), not as stills.

The other option was the 800D + 18-55mm, for approx. I got a pretty good deal (I think) M50 + 15-45mm + 55-200mm + 128GB extreme pro for £699 (and double chashback). Never owned a mirrorless or DSLR camera in my life and after reading a lot online and chatting with some friends who own such cameras, I decided to go with the Canon EOS M50. I finnaly decided to start my journey into the photography world.
